As the focal point for all postgraduate initiatives, CPS is dedicated to supporting Master’s and PhD candidates throughout every stage of their academic journey. Doctorate Programmes

Overview

The PhD in Informatics is by research where the candidate, under the supervision of senior faculty, will undertake independent research contributing towards the science of information, the practice of information processing, and the engineering of information systems. The candidate is required to complete a thesis research which must constitute a significant original contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the chosen topic. The research can be in a specialized topic (e.g. data science, IoT, cybersecurity, cloud computing, blockchain, augmented reality) or across disciplines (IT in health, finance, retail, education, supply chain, etc.). Research of inter-disciplinary nature is especially encouraged.

Master Programmes

Overview

The MSc in Information Technology (MIT) program is designed to equip students with the state-of-art technology and advanced skillset relevant for IR4-driven organizations. The program will expose students to data science, blockchain, IoT, cybersecurity, software design and architecture, information systems, network and communication technologies. The program offers 8 courses (modules) and 1 project paper. Students are especially encouraged to undertake projects that are interdisciplinary in nature.
