Information Technology (IT) is changing the way modern businesses operate. The IT industry has created numerous job opportunities for people with IT and other interdisciplinary skills. The MSc in Information Technology programme is designed to bridge the gap between IT and business. The program is suitable for current and aspiring professionals who want to develop, implement, operate, and manage information systems in a variety of organizations. Students will have the opportunity to acquire indepth knowledge to face the challenges of the industry. Entry Requirement
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00, as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 3.00 can be accepted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the HEP; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the HEP to identify the appropriate prerequisite courses that are equivalent to their working experience in the Computing or related fields; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to appropriate prerequisite courses; OR
- Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia
English Competency Requirement for International Student:
Achieve a minimum of Band 4 in MUET or equivalent to CEFR (Low B2). If a student does not meet this requirement, the MUST must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.
