ACCREDITATION OF PRIOR EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING (APEL)
Admission Criteria for Master's Degree (APEL Level 7)
Open to Malaysian citizens and non-citizens;
Must be at least 30 years old in the year of application for admission to the Master’s Degree (Coursework, Mixed Mode, and Research), Postgraduate Diploma, and Postgraduate Certificate programs (APEL Level 7);
Must possess at least an STPM/Diploma or equivalent qualification (or higher qualifications such as Advanced Diploma, Graduate Certificate, or Graduate Diploma);
Must have relevant work experience;
Applications for the Master’s Degree (APEL Level 7) must undergo eligibility screening at the APEL Assessment Centre. If the screening is rejected, the applicant may appeal to MQA by referring to the information at the provided link.

| Test Format | 75 objective questions and 5 structured questions. Covers Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge/Critical Thinking. Pass mark: Minimum 50% overall. Difficulty level equivalent to first-year Bachelor’s Degree. |
| Note for Non-Malaysian Applicants: – Bahasa Melayu component will not be tested. – Its questions will be added to the English component. – Current issues in General Knowledge will focus on global context. | |
